Your Path to Optimal Health

A Patient-Focused Holistic Approach to Healing

Philosophy/Approach

As a Naturopathic physician, I am dedicated to discovering the underlying cause of various medical issues and health concerns.  Naturopaths champion a holistic approach to healing illness and my detailed and clinical analysis leads me to uncover the root cause of the illness, not just focusing on short-term relief of the symptoms. I conduct a thorough and methodical investigation of each patient’s medical history to determine the most effective integrated treatment approach to allow my patients to achieve a long-lasting healthy state of being. My ultimate goal is to ensure my patients have a clear and defined approach to attaining optimal health through an individualized treatment plan that allows you to actively participate in your health decisions and empowers you to take control of their own health.

My integrative approach to uncovering the root cause of an illness focuses on the patient through various forms of technologically advanced tests as well as traditional clinical analysis. At our clinic, we rely on cutting-edge alternative medical techniques and the recent advances in naturopathic medicine. The results of testing allow me to create highly-customized naturopathic treatments tailored to meet specific goals and needs to allow you to achieve a balanced and healthy mind and body.

While conventional medicine has effective treatments for serious acute diseases, the majority of health care issues manifest in the form of chronic diseases. This is where Naturopathic Medicine excels in attaining long-term proven results. I encourage patients to not blindly follow the misconception that drugs and surgery are the only choice for them. Methods of disease treatment by conventional medicine may be ineffective with high risk and unwanted side effects.

In addition to attending Bastyr University, which has the most rigorous alternative medical training in North America, over the last 15 years of intensive clinical training, I’ve excelled in treating a variety of health issues including:

  1. Gastrointestinal conditions
  2. Allergies
  3. Skin conditions
  4. Auto-immune conditions
  5. Detoxification
  6. Pain management
  7. Fatigue
  8. Stress induced illnesses

Dedicated to Naturopathic medical philosophy, my goal is to empower you to make important health decisions that are based on cutting-edge research and leading alternative medical treatments such as are herbal medicine, vitamins and minerals, ayurvedic medicine, homeopathy, diet and lifestyle counseling, musculoskeletal medicine such as Bowen Therapy, and Prolo Therapy. Years of science, research and clinical experience allow me to focus on long-lasting results that maximize the body’s internal healing power.

Background

I feel thankful to my parents for instilling the values of compassion, respect and dedication.  After completing my high school education at North Delta Senior Secondary. I decided to explore our neighbours to the south where I received my undergraduate degree at Western Washington University. Growing up, I wanted to be in health care and have always been dedicated to helping others. During my time in University, my desire to be a health care provider grew and my interest piqued in naturopathic medicine. I was attracted to the holistic approach, the lack of negative side effects, and the long term health benefits through lifestyle change. I furthered my education by pursuing a degree in Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University in Seattle and began this journey of helping others improve their health.

This profession is the perfect match for me and I definitely feel I am in the right profession. I enjoy this work and continue to gain satisfaction when I see patients get better. This is what truly motivates me.

Clinical Interest

As a naturopathic doctor, I treat a variety of health issues and give each patient my undivided attention. However, my areas of interest include treating fatigue, gastrointestinal conditions, allergies, skin conditions, auto-immune conditions, detoxification and pain management. Current treatments we use are herbal medicine, vitamins and minerals, ayurvedic medicine, homeopathy, diet and lifestyle counseling, musculoskeletal medicine such as Bowen Therapy, Neural and Prolo Therapy.

Personal interests

I am an avid hockey fan (I am Canadian after all) and for several years I trained in Martial Arts at a reputed academy in White Rock, British Columbia. I enjoy good food (especially if it’s healthy) and like to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoyed volunteered in the community at the surrey hospice, children’s activities, and the elderly. I experienced Rotary’s Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) program, and learned a great deal about leadership, motivation, and communication.

My message to you

You can improve your health and quality of life with naturopathic medicine. But no one person or medicine, whether herbal, pharmaceutical, homeopathic, or nutritional can do it all for you. Educating yourself is the first step to better health. Learn as much as you can about your health concerns and provide your body, mind and spirit with the tools necessary to heal. Give the body a chance to heal and it can–with the right guidance.

I agree that conventional medicine has effective treatments for serious acute diseases. However, the majority of health care issues are actually slow, insidious and manifest in the form of chronic diseases.  I encourage you not to blindly follow the misconception that drugs and surgery are the only choice for you. Methods of disease treatment by conventional medicine may be ineffective with high risk and unwanted side effects. Consider the naturopathic approach, it is scientifically researched and tested. I invite you to continue browsing and make an active choice to take control of your health.

  • As a Naturopath I say: eat wholesome and healthy food, exercise and maintain peace of mind. As a fellow human being I say, live a good life, be kind to yourself and others. Fill your life with hope, love and humour.
